Nashwaaksis United Church
Family and friends sharing time and talent to make a difference in the neighborhood and the world.

The world in which we live is troubled and disturbed by many ideas and events. It is good to find some place to be quite for a few moments; a place to recover balance and perspective. Our worship service offers sanctuary from the pace and pressures of the busy week. Fine spiritual music and uplifting spiritual words bring relief and encouragement. Worship in community is a restorative process by which we keep close to what is most important if we are to be happy and secure in our homes and neighborhoods.

It may be that you are looking for a change in your life. We do not offer any quick fix. We do offer a place for you to benefit from the insights and abilities of others. It also seems likely that you will bring with you gifts to benefit us as we work together in the promotion of hope, peace, joy, and love.

At the centre of our worship is the good news about God's love for the world revealed in Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.

Join in to sing songs, share stories and learn about the part you play in healing the world!

Our Mission Statement – in unison (next page)

Prayer of Confession:  (unison)

Lord Jesus, we confess that it is easier to walk away from things rather than work on repairing our relationships.  It is easier to give up than to change our habits or ways of doing things.  We do not commit ourselves to others and we do not commit ourselves to You.  We have let others down.  We have let ourselves down.  We have let each other down.  Forgive us we pray.  Help us to have the courage to follow our convictions.  Help us to build the bonds that last.   Amen.
