IN THE BEGINNING
Where do you start when you discuss the meaning of life? You start at the beginning. This is where God gave guidelines for life. It is from the creation that we get a special look at God, our world, and ourselves and how we all inter-relate. Join us at one of two Bible Studies beginning on Wednesday, February 22, at 7:00pm or Thursday, February 23, at 1:30pm for a Bible Study looking at Genesis 1: 1 – 11 as we start looking at where it all began and where we are today.
HEADS UP & HANDS FREE MINISTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP!
If you are interested in operating the overhead slides during worship, please add your name to the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the foyer. Just put your name and phone number beside the Sunday(s) you wish to help. For more information, please contact Heather Brannon 450-8764.
NO COMPUTER EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
ON-THE-JOB TRAINING PROVIDED!
Sleigh Ride! Sliding! Bonfire! The Family Night group has organized a sleigh ride and sliding party on Saturday, March 17th, from 2 – 4 pm at 540 River Road (take a right after going over the Penniac Bridge) at the Lyons’. It begins with a sleigh ride out to the sliding hill. We then warm up by the bonfire (and roast marshmellows and hot dogs) and then have a sleigh ride back to our cars. All in all, it’s a FUN afternoon! The cost is $7 and kids 12 and under, $3.00. Email Krista at kcsm@bellaliant.net if you plan to attend. Hope you can join us!
Can you be a volunteer? The Pastoral Care Committee would like to offer help to members of our Congregation with drives for groceries or appointments. Please sign the sheet on the bulletin board or leave your name with the office (458-9452).

Nashwaaksis United Church Dinners
Our church dinners are in danger of becoming extinct if some action is not instigated soon. I have decided to try and find a group interested in seeing that the dinners continue. For the present, I will take the lead to determine interest. To develop a committee to plan these events, a leader is needed for the areas listed below. These leaders will then be asked to meet and plan when and what the dinners will be. Please call me and let me know if you can provide leadership in the following areas.
Please be aware that most or all of the great leaders of past dinners are available for support and advice and even some assistance on the day of the planned events!
Chairperson: Harold Dykeman
Kitchen Preparation: Food Purchase (1); Cooking (1); Peeling (1)
Hall Preparation: Arranging table & chairs (1); Setting tables (1)
Serving: (1) includes clearing tables
Clean Up: Kitchen (1) includes running dishwasher
If and when I have the leaders established in each area, we will meet and together develop a PLAN. Please call me if you can and will support this project as a leader. Harold Dykeman – 472-8377.
Another opportunity to serve your church!
Our Property Committee has made a superb effort to maintain our facility by donating their time and skills for repairs and maintenance. This group needs new members to continue this essential work for our church. So if you like to paint and repair, and would enjoy productive and cheerful time with others, please consider taking a turn on this Committee.
If you are able to participate or would like more information, please contact Linda Dunham at the church office,
or Keith Traer at 459-3224.
